Beginning 17 August 2026, VeraSol will transfer elements of the certification process for solar energy kits to two partners, Intertek Testing Services – Government and Trade Services (GTS) and Shenzhen Academy of Metrology & Quality Inspection (SMQ). As announced in July 2025, we are transitioning certification to a new operational model that will be more efficient and will simultaneously reduce reliance on donor support. VeraSol will continue to oversee the program, issue certificates, and maintain the VeraSol Product Database as a trusted resource for the sector.

Key changes:

• A company seeking certification services will apply directly to an approved partner (not to CLASP) and work directly with them throughout the entire testing and evaluation process.

• The selected partner will issue a conformity assessment report at the end of the testing and evaluation process to indicate whether a product meets the quality standards (IEC 62257-9-8).

• If the product meets the standards, CLASP will issue a VeraSol certificate and list the product on the VeraSol Product Database.

• A new pricing structure will accompany the new certification process. Companies will pay the selected partner directly for testing and certification. Companies will continue to pay CLASP for any special services that do not involve testing, such as making changes to an existing specification sheet. Preview the updated pricing here.

• For products that are certified under the new process, VeraSol’s policy for making corrections to bring products into compliance with the quality standards will also change; see more details below.

This next phase builds upon long-standing collaborations with Intertek and SMQ to test and evaluate solar products and comes after months of training to prepare these partners to lead client engagement and issue conformity assessment reports.

自 2026 年 8 月 17 日起，VeraSol 将把太阳能套件认证流程中的部分环节正式移交至两家合作伙伴——Intertek 政府与贸易服务部（GTS）及深圳市计量质量检测研究院（SMQ）。根据 2025 年 7 月发布的信息，本计划正将认证工作过渡到全新的运营模式，以期在提升效率的同时，逐步降低对捐助方支持的依赖。VeraSol将继续负责监督项目、颁发证书，及行业内公认资源VeraSol 产品数据库的维护工作。

主要变化如下:

• 申请认证服务的企业须直接向授权的合作伙伴（而非 CLASP）提交申请，并在全部测试与评估过程中与所选机构直接对接；

• 授权合作伙伴在完成测试与评估后，将出具符合性评估报告，以判定产品是否符合质量标准（IEC 62257-9-8）；

• 若产品满足标准要求，CLASP 将颁发 VeraSol 证书，并将产品信息录入 VeraSol 产品数据库；

• 新认证流程将配套实施新的收费方案。企业需直接向所选合作机构支付测试和认证费用；对于不涉及测试的特殊服务（如修改现有规格书），企业仍须按原有方式向 CLASP 缴费。更新后的价格标准请参见此处；

• 对于依照新流程认证的产品，VeraSol有关产品整改以符合质量标准的政策亦将同步调整，具体内容详见下文。

本次合作升级建立在与Intertek和SMQ长期合作开展太阳能产品测试与评估的基础之上，合作伙伴亦已接受为期数月的专项培训，以全面做好客户对接及出具符合性评估报告的准备工作。
