Corrections Policy
This policy describes how a company can bring their product into compliance when testing indicates the product does not fully meet the requirements in IEC TS 62257-9-8. This policy applies to products that contract directly with the test labs for VeraSol certification and pay the test lab the VeraSol certification review fee. This policy replaces the prior treatment of “conditional passes,” which are no longer offered. For information relevant to products that contracted directly with VeraSol prior to the August 2026 transition, please refer to the Conditional Pass Policy.
Key features of the Corrections Policy include:
- Companies will work directly with the test labs to manage corrections.
- To correct issues with packaging and other consumer-facing materials, companies will need to provide digital copies of their proposed changes and then provide pictures of the printed physical packaging to the test lab prior to receiving certification documents. Products may be selected at random to undergo warehouse inspections to confirm changes prior to certification.
- In cases where re-testing is required to correct issues, companies will coordinate with the test lab to conduct re-sampling and re-testing prior to sending final results to VeraSol for certification.
