Transition to IEC TS 62257-9-8Transition to IEC TS 62257-9-8All products tested prior to 2020 were evaluated according to the Lighting Global Quality Standards. On 10 June 2020, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) published IEC TS 62257-9-8: Integrated systems – Requirements for stand-alone renewable energy products with power ratings less than or equal to 350 W. This document is largely based on and will soon be referenced in place of the Lighting Global Quality Standards. As a program, VeraSol will not require compliance with IEC TS 62257-9-8 until 1 January 2021 (products that sign test agreements after that date would need to comply with the new standards). Prior to 1 January 2021, companies will be able to choose whether to have their products evaluated to the Lighting Global Quality Standards or IEC TS 62257-9-8.
