In responding to evolving needs of the off-grid solar market, VeraSol developed a draft policy on quality standards for off-grid refrigerators – Requirements for VeraSol Certification of Refrigerators. Once these standards are finalized, VeraSol intends to start certifying standalone solar refrigerators and refrigerators that are packaged and sold with solar energy systems under 350 Wp.

On Thursday, March 31st 2022, VeraSol hosted a one-hour webinar to discuss the need for quality standards for off-grid refrigerators, introduce a draft VeraSol policy for certifying refrigerators and provided a preliminary overview of the testing and certification process.
