The Lighting Global Quality Assurance (QA) Framework supports the Lighting Africa and Lighting Asia programs with a range of services that measure, benchmark, and communicate product quality and performance for the off-grid lighting market. Part of the framework was a set of Quality Standards and Performance Targets that are used both by Lighting Global and the regional programs to screen products for engagement and support. This memo outlines a set of draft updates to the Standards and Targets framework that were proposed in June 2013.

This document was produced by Lighting Global Quality Assurance. In February 2020, Lighting Global Quality Assurance evolved to become VeraSol, an independent program offering quality assurance services for solar energy kits and off-grid appliances.
