Pay-As-You-Go Market Check Test (PAYG – MCT) Policy
Downloads
Pay-As-You-Go Market Check Testing ensures the basic functionality of PAYG features for solar energy kits sold in the intended location of use for the PAYG function. This test procedure determines whether all basic PAYG features work as intended before the product reaches the end-user.
Some of the features tested for include service cut off due to non-payment, continued ability to charge via solar during service cut off, PAYG metering accuracy and keypad durability. This procedure is typically only conducted when concerns arise regarding the function of a product’s PAYG system. It is supplementary to the test methods in IEC TS 62257-9-5 and is not performed during a typical Market Check Test, which tests the key quality and durability aspects of both PAYG and non-PAYG products.
