IEC TS 62257-9-8 requires manufacturers to include a traceable date of manufacture on all Solar Home Systems and Pico PV products, as per detailed requirements in Section 5.8.2 of the IEC standards. The date of manufacture must at least be traceable to the month and year of manufacture and easily accessible on the product packaging or main unit of the system and on any components packaged separately from the main unit. The date of manufacture may be presented directly or encoded as any of the machine-readable codes approved by VeraSol in the policy document.
